A message from the facility management team:
Dear Squash and Rackets Club Member,
Following Thursday's announcement regarding tier 2 restrictions for Shropshire we are pleased to say that the Squash Centre and Tennis Courts can reopen for limited play from Thursday 3rd December onward.
The tennis courts will be open for singles and doubles play. Members should ensure they remain socially distanced before, during and after play. Please also note that tier 2 restrictions state people are not allowed to meet outdoors in a group of more than 6 people.
Squash play will be limited to solo practice or play against members of your own household or support bubble. Members may also play the modified "Sides" version of squash against members of their Squash Bubble. These groups were set up with the help of the committee prior to the lockdown. Please note tier 2 restrictions do not allow for members to play full squash games against other members of their Squash Bubble. For further information on joining a Squash Bubble please email the committee: email@example.com
Full guidance from England Squash including a breakdown of what the restrictions mean for each tier may be found here.
As a reminder, guests or non-members are not currently allowed to use the squash or tennis courts. The changing rooms remain out of bounds, except for access to the toilets. Members should arrive ready to play, sign in on the paper register and go straight to their booked court. There is no need to use the electronic terminal. Unfortunately the upstairs area will remain out of bounds until further notice. We are sorry to say that junior coaching sessions have also been suspended until the new year.
We very much look forward to welcoming you back and as ever we thank you for your patience and understanding over the last few months.
